No waiting period between your learners and restricted licence.
We are pleased to announce that Mainland Motorcycle School has two NZTA approved CBTA instructors and assessors for gaining your restricted licence. A new course has been developed by NZTA to lift the skills of riders and reduce the time required between licence stages as it will be based on competency rather than time periods.
If you believe your riding is up to the standard required, there is no need to wait the usual 6 months from when you gained your learners licence to get your restricted. (No waiting time, based on competency). We can also take 6 months off the period between the restricted and the full.
One on One Training
Time is money. Many prefer our shorter one on one courses than doing full day course with large groups.
CBTA Experienced 2 hr one on one pre-assessment training for Restricted licence.
If you have been riding on the road regularly both urban riding and open road riding including hills and are already very confident on a bike and think you can pass the test with your current skills, we offer a 2 hour one on one course to cover what is required for the test. It covers the requirements that we will be looking at during the assessment and practice on roads similar to what you will be assessed on and demonstrations from the instructor of what is required.
You can do the training one day, practice what you learnt and do the assessment a different day or do the training and assessment in one 4 hour block.
